ABOUT US
Our Mission and Goals
- Addressing the educational, research, and professional development needs of all Study Programs of the Department, as well as of other Departments of the Institution, in subjects within the Laboratory’s areas of expertise.
- Development of teaching programs and conduct of basic and applied research.
- Communicating research and academic results through the organization of academic activities, scientific workshops, lectures, seminars, symposia, conferences, and other scholarly events.
- Dissemination of knowledge through the publication of monographs, scholarly articles, edited volumes, academic yearbooks and journals, as well as through any form of print or electronic publication of scientific views and research findings.
- Strengthening collaboration with universities, academic and research centers, institutions, and institutes both domestically and internationally, in related scientific fields and objectives, with the aim of undertaking joint research activities and creating conditions for interdisciplinary dialogue to advance scientific knowledge.
- Outreach and collaboration with public sector entities, local government organizations, scientific, social, and professional bodies both domestically and internationally, as well as with international organizations, aimed at jointly exploring solutions and proposals to address contemporary issues within the Laboratory’s scientific areas of interest.
- Leveraging expertise to attract funded research from national and international sources in the Laboratory’s scientific areas of activity or in specific fields of specialization of its units and members.
- Providing expert assistance to individuals and institutions under the framework of applicable law.
- Meeting the educational and research needs at all levels of study within the Department in subjects that fall within the Laboratory’s scientific areas of activity.
- Establishing academic networks and other international collaborative academic institutions at the Department, School, and University levels.
- Fostering and developing research, writing, organizational, and administrative skills in the fields of social research for all participants involved in the Laboratory’s activities.
